Michael C Gaeta, , , CDN, is a visionary teacher, practitioner
and writer in the field of natural healthcare. While maintaining a group
practice in , he tours the country presenting seminars on nutrition, herbal
therapy, Chinese medicine, medical ethics and business success. Michael
is devoted to helping individuals and healthcare practitioners live and
serve others from the place of their greatest potential.
Michael holds licenses in acupuncture, nutrition and massage therapy,
diplomates in acupuncture and Asian bodywork therapy (NCCAOM), and is
a Doctor of acupuncture in . A certified Amma therapist, he holds an associates
degree in massage therapy, bachelors degrees in Asian bodywork therapy
and health science, and a Masters degree in acupuncture.
A graduate of the New York College
of Health Professions, Michael was a faculty member there for ten
years. He has also served as adjunct professor or lecturer at Tri-State
College of Acupuncture, New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine,
, and Eastern School of Acupuncture. Michael is an engaging and inspiring
teacher who uses group participation, humor and multimedia aids to create
a positive, enjoyable and effective learning experience.
In 1990, Michael founded the Hands-On Health Wholistic Centers, a successful
group practice with locations in Kew Gardens, and Huntington, Long Island.
He and his team combine acupuncture, nutrition, bodywork therapy and herbal
medicine with Western medicine to help people heal, grow and evolve.
Michael is past president of the Acupuncture
Society of New York (ASNY); he served on its Board of Directors from
19982004. While president, ASNY earned the State Association of
the Year award in 2003; Michael received the State Association President
of the Year award in 2002. He is a certified instructor of and state representative
for the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia, earning
its Outstanding Service award in 1999 for his work as Editor of its member
newsletter.
Michael appeared on the CBS Early Show, NBC News, WB11 News, has published
many articles on the subject of wholistic healthcare and Chinese medicine,
and done numerous radio interviews. Michael is also a pianist and composer.
With two friends, he has released a recording of original acoustic music,
entitled Open Green. His passion is to give, love and serve through teaching,
hands-on therapies and writing. Michael enjoys life with his wife Deanna,
son Joseph and daughter Francesca.
