Process Purification Program My overall experience was excellent! I am so glad that I did it and even more, that I stuck with it even when it got a little rough. By the end of the Program, my energy level was constant throughout the day, I felt alert and had an overall positive attitude. I lost 10.6 Ibs in 3 weeks and even post-Program, the weight kept coming off! One month later, I'm down a total of 14 pounds and what's more, I actually lost inches too! The downside: I need a new wardrobe!! More
specifically, in the beginning of the Program, I felt tired and a bit
sluggish. I was not thrilled with the limited menu and missed having warm
food. I saved the steam veggies for dinnertime just to have warmth at
the end of the day. Some days I felt foolish for being so limited and
there was one day I actually felt angry about it. What kept me going was
the weight loss which started out at an average of one pound per day.
Another motivator was the comments I was getting from people: my eyes
looked brighter and my face looked more healthy. Very early into the Program,
I noticed that my cravings for all the unhealthy snacks I ate on a regular
basis had virtually disappeared. As time moved slowly forward, I actually
started to feel good knowing that my body knew exactly what to do with
everything I was ingesting: no transfats, no chemical preservatives, etc.
As balance was restored within, my attitude began to improve and my energy
level was noticeably increased. I loved not having the blood-sugar drops
in the afternoon. That was a significant difference. I wasn't crazy about
the shakes until I found a strawberry/banana combination which made it
more palatable for me. I used the treadmill on average of about 3 times
per week at 30 minutes each time. I actually began to look forward to
my exercise breaks. I really
believe that this Program had a positive impact on my metabolism, maybe
even rebooted it, so to speak. The food prep was not the nightmare I had
envisioned; in fact, it was not difficult at all. Considering I am a workaholic
that spends far too much time at the office, that was a big consideration
when first deciding to try this Program. Three weeks is a long time when
eating such a limited menu but I think knowing that it was "only"
for 3 weeks made it more achievable (as opposed to an open-ended diet).
It wasn't easy but it wasn't terrible - I'm really glad that I did it.
I've become more in tune with my body's needs and I've become much more
conscious when it comes to food choices now. I hope to continue on this
path but if for some reason I go astray, I'm happy to know that I can
fall back on the Program E. Barbera
